Hi, I’m Brooke.
In a few words, I’m a graphic designer, photographer, a lover of good food, music, and books, and a hobby collector.
I’ve moved up and down the East Coast and landed in what feels like my forever home in Brooklyn, NY. Sometime in my early years, I realized that pretty much all I wanted to do was draw, sing, and bake—that really hasn’t changed much. What was cultivated in a small home in central Virginia has grown with each move and change of season.
Now, I mostly spend my time designing or baking with a good show or good music playing in the background. Something about being locked in my home, alone, for most of 2020 reignited my love for cooking, so you can often find me in my kitchen after hours testing out a new recipe with my expert taste-tester husband.
Recently, I’ve been mostly a slow runner, public knitter, falling back in love with drawing, and reader of 3 books at once. (Yes, I crocheted the garment I’m wearing on my homepage.)
Currently
Listening
Thanks to Libby, I've been listening to classics like Pride and Prejudice and Wuthering Heights. You can also find me weekly tuning in to Giggly Squad or, more recently, Good Hang, blaring the Hadestown soundtrack, sobbing to Les Mis, or Demi Lovato.
Exploring
I'm currently running through brownstone-lined streets and Prospect Park and working shifts in the community garden on our block. On weekends, you can probably find me trying a new restaurant or bakery, or returning to our neighborhood staples, Otway Bakery or Gertie.
