Get to know me
In a few words, I’m a recent resident of Brooklyn, NY, full-time graphic designer, side-hustle photographer, lover of good food and good music, and mostly a friend of Jesus.
I’ve moved up and down the east coast in my twenty-something years on this planet. Sometime in my early years, I realized that pretty much all I wanted to do was draw, sing, and bake. That really hasn’t changed much. What was cultivated in a little home in central Virginia has grown with each move and change of season.
Now I mostly spend my time designing or editing with a good show or good music playing in the background. Something about being locked in my home, alone, for most of 2020 reignited my love for cooking so you can usually find me in my kitchen after hours testing out a new recipe with my expert taste-tester husband.

Listening Now
I am certain my husband is ready to stop hearing, “I learned X from stuff you should know this week,” and an endless tangent on how palm trees are actually not trees.
Stuff You Should Know has easily become one of my favorite podcasts in the last few years.
Exploring the City
My husband and I moved to Brooklyn in 2022 shortly after we got married and we love spending our weekends exploring our neighborhood and finding the best eats in our neighborhood.
The search for the best bagel in NYC continues for us with Ess-A-Bagel in the lead. However, as a Charlottesville, VA native, I firmly believe that Bodo’s Bagels has the best bagels in the world, but I’m hoping to find a bagel here that can compete with my memories of Bodos.
Cooking Something New
Nothing makes me happier than trying a new recipe and everyone LOVING it.
Claire Saffitz’ Dessert Person has been my current inspiration for new recipes. Recently I turned a bushel of fresh apples into a few tarts from her book for friends and they are delish!
